Sunset + Animal

Last night I biked while the sun was setting.
Apparently, Copenhagen's been visited by Animal... must be the one from The Muppets Show, right? Seems like the type of character who'd tag his name on an old bridge.
Here he is in action, giving the last magical touch to a nice rendition of Habanera from Bizets 'Carmen'.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Ida

Birthdaycards

More mail today - but not as surprising, seeing it being my b-day and all. But still amazing and wonderful!
I got cards from my mom and my grandmom.

My mormor wrote this:
A rosebud to a beloved and lovely birthdaychild
From a withered old dandelion.

It's so sweet. I'm blessed to have a mormor like her.

It's been a long day, but in a minute, I'll put on a fresh dress, new makeup, go have dinner with 8 fun friends and later drink with even more friends and be silly, loud and merry all night! The perfect way to celebrate a birthday. I'm so lucky!

The day after

Last night after I said farewell to sweet Linda, I started thinking that we'd sort of had a 'blind date' in a friend-sort-of-way.
We had such a fun evening. First soup and lots of talking at Soupanatural (mine was spicy blackbean soup, YUM!, and Linda had tomatosoup - btw, how was it?), then hurry-hurry-hurry to the cinema were we saw 'Biutiful'. An intense movie with many poor excistenses and sad faiths centered around Javier Bardems character. Without no climax or epiphanies, it just sort of faded out in the end. Tough, tough movie, but fascinating and good!

After the movie Linda and I talked some more, about blogging and journalism and life and all in between. And then we bid adieu on Nørrebrogade. Perfect. Oh, and she'd bought candy for both of us - how sweet is that?!

Close one!

I can't stop laughing about this vote... Katy Perry 3 - Nirvana 4.
It's from the school where we (the band) practice. Our bass/bariton player is the musicteacher. And these kids are actually pretty cool, with artsy, mellow parents and stuff. It must be so much worse at more ordinary schools. Yikes.

I can play 'Smells like teen spirit' on my guitar, haha.

Ida

P.s. Should I put it on here? Yeah, I should... for old times sakes.

I like the stomping Converseclad foot. Such an iconic image.

I Am/You Are Allright

As if this day hadn't been great enough, I used my winning (2 free tickets) from yesterday and caught the last showing of 'The Kids Are Allright'.
Wow, what a fantastic movie! So funny, thoughtful and genuine - and great acting. Me and my friend thouroughly enjoyed ourselves.
She just left, after dinner and tea and guytalk and laughing and more laughing.

Today = 12 hours of quality friend-time. Wow. Bonus bonus bonus!

Coffeebreak

What a luxury to have a four hour coffeebreak!
My friend is working on her bachelor-project, so she and I have unintentionally started a weekly tradition (a great one!) - early coffeebreaks.
I love her home - she has so many wonderful, sweet and stylish items. I'm particularly fond of her tiny fridge. And the 'Din' + 'Min' kop, which means yours & mine.
She treated me to great coffee and delicious homemade gingerbiscuits. Pure addiction.

Yay, I won, I won!

Every day in December until x-mas eve, the danish movietheater etcetera, Cinemateket, has a competition: Guess the still from the movie and win free tickets.
Well, I won! I, as well as many others, said that this was from 'Don't Look Now' - that's Donald Sutherlands ass hanging from the ceiling.
What a great way to start the week!
