Ugly ducklings and the little red boat

Ugly ducklings...

Tiny boats stuck in green goo. Imagine if it was scaled 1:1 - wouldn't want to sail into that icky stuff. But I like the small, colorful boats. Wonder how they got there - childrens project or art?

Today is the "longest" day of the year - the day with most light. I can't believe it's going downhill from now on. Summer's only just begun, and allready it's getting darker? No fair.

Simple

An otherwise boring trainstation - all you need is colored light to spice things up!

P.s. Yeah, I know it's a rather uninspired post and tha the picture is bad, but I've been sick + I've been busy... should I rather not post stuff like this? Hmmm...

Strawberries

I've had my first home-balcony-grown strawberry. It wasn't big, but it's taste was grand: it tasted like the dream of a perfect summer.

Note-tree

Friday I had to meet a friend at Skt. Hans Torv  - while I waited, I sat by a tree and noticed all these notes. All the notes had different messages on them, and there were felt-markers, so you could write you own message. So I did:
'War is contempt for life'

It's from a norwegian song that's very beautiful. I always remember those lines.

Other words of wisdom...
But my favorite was this:
"I am an EAGLE! - watch out <3"

Hope your weekend so far has been good. Tomorrow is a national holiday in Denmark - yay!

Cobbled Copenhagen

I don't think anyone who reads this blog doubts, that I love Copenhagen - but it's an easy city love, it is so charming and beautiful.
I love the streetname - Naboløs. I'd translate it to 'neighborless' in the meaning 'no neighbors'. I wonder how the name originated...

Ooops! Erm...yay no. 201!

I forgot all about my blogpost no. 200. So instead I'm "making a fuss" about no. 201 - with a photo from Tivoli. I'm in love with these lamps - I'm not quite sure who designed them, allthough I vaguely recall something about Poul Henningsen designing them - but I couldn't find out by googling. Does anyone know?
On a quiet night, the old themepark can be a magical refugee in the city.

Thanks too all who reads along. It's been fun so far, so I'll keep at it.

Ida

B e s t F r a p p é E v e r?

Mmmmyes, possibly maybe. It made my day, nay, my weekend. That's what good coffee will do to you. Yum. From Granola at lovely-and-one-of-my-all-time-favorite-streets-in-Copenhagen Værnedamsvej.

More balcony

Monday I went to Skåne with something workrelated, and at Åbergs Trädgård I bought some sweet flowers and three tiny 'smultron', which is wild strawberries. Hope they'll thrive on my balcony.
And oh yes, I do all my gardening in turqouise heels.

Hope you've had a great weekend.

Love,
Ida
