A little bit of luck on my wall
When I visited Louisiana some time ago, I brought home some clovers.
I finally got around to putting them on my wall. They fit right in with the wolves, the giant flower, the forest and the stars in my little corner of dreams.
It's nice to look up at them and imagine what sort of luck they will bring my way.

It's gone overboard!
More gifts to self: A new mug from the amazing store Stilleben. I had to have it, because of the wolf on it! Made by Anna Carin Dahl.
I also bought a new dress... I'll show you later.
Hope you had a nice weekend. I'm working today, have been for 10 hours now... don't like working on sundays, when it's not pleasure. Allthough it was, and is, fun, I really needed an extra days r'n'r.
But the sun has been shining all day, I have lots of daffodils to look at, and my saturday was great.

Salut Dreams
Every day on my way to work, I pass an autoshop that has this old beauty just waiting to get painted and pretty again.
I'm usually not a carperson, but I have a thing for old american cars - this one reminded of the one on the cover of my favorite book, Jack Kerouacs 'On The Road'.
I wanna take a roadtrip in the states right now... following in the footsteps of Sal Paradise has always appealed to me.
Inside the cover was a few treasures.
1. The receipt from when I bought the book (April 25th 2002)
2. A newspaper cut-out of a wolf - the picture won a world press award, if I recall.
3. A postcard from my friend, when she was in Paris. Salut Paris - salut dreams...

Ida

Great gifts
What I most wanted this christmas isn't something that you can wrap and give as a present.
It didn't come to me, but it may still fall into my arms at any time to come, so I'm still dreaming.
But I did get some wonderful presents. My mormor gave me a Bjørn Wiinblad jar that I'm gonna store tea in. My godmother gave me some mooomin-porcelain to my ever-expanding collection, and my parents gave me Murakamis 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle', Miyazakes 'Ponyo', a howling wolf (love it!) and a beautiful deer-couple as earrings. Way too much. But I love it all.

Ida
P.s. I need a haircut!

Wolves are my friends
Wolves have been my favorite animal ever since I was a very little girl.
I've had two wonderful experiences in Canada, where my aunt and uncle lives. The times I've visited them, they've taken me to Algonquin Park. There parkrangers told us about the wolves in Canada, and afterwards guided all the listeners far into the gigantic park (it's 1/4 the size of Belgium!) In the middle of this enormous park, surrounded by huge trees, the pinescent spicing the warm nightair, the sparkling milkyway above and fireflies buzzing around at the edge of the wood, the parkrangers howled - and floating in from the distance, a wolfpack howled back! You could hear the pups yelping. It was magical both times. I get chills just thinking about it.
The wolves protect me. When I have on my bedlinnen, I don't have bad dreams.
Love,
Ida
