My brownies from yesterday were a bit dry, and not so moist and brownie-ish as I'd dreamt of. So I made american frosting today, (like you get on those oh-so-popular cupcakes), and added colorful harlekin-sprinkles. It made all the difference. Yum!

Beautiful details...
...in an old building in Copenhagen.
Outside of it a sweet gentlemen-bike, and the bluest sky, like if you were in a dream.

Baking galore
Maybe it's because it's so cold outside, but I just really felt like making warm & moist brownies today.
They didn't come out entirely succesfull, but my appartment smelled wonderfully of chocolatly goodness - yum!
I used my "analog" whiskers for the first time. My mom gave them to me. I'm in love with their 50ies look - it fits perfectly in my kitchen.
While I was at it, I thought I'd might as well make some buns. They're from a "shake"'n'bake-package, and I don't like boxed food like that, but these were so cheap and ecological and wholemeal, so I bought them a while ago when I came across them. I hope they're tasty.

Magic at my parents house. Isn't it pretty?

More snow
More winter wonderland-pictures. I'm at my parents.
Tibby likes the snow - sometimes shes lying out when it's a regular snowstorm, and she comes in covered in white, looking like she's made out of snow.
I wish it would stay like this all winter.

Howl
"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night,
who poverty and tatters and hollow-eyed and high sat up smoking in the supernatural darkness of cold-water flats floating across the tops of cities contemplating jazz..."
Excerpt from the mindblowing poem by Allen Ginsberg, a poem that helped define the beatgeneration.
The movie about the poem, it's immediate consequense and the man behind just premiered in the movietheatres. I want to see it!

Pigs in blankets
Just got home from three intense days of working in Jutland - I'm still feeling a bit sick, aching head and coughing, sigh. So I decided to bake (not my usual thing, mind you - I like to cook, but I rarely bake, but it was nice and unstressing. I must do it again soon!) and I made pigs in blankets (love the english name!)
The aprons that I just got from my grandma came in handy - I've never had one in my life, but I avoided getting flour on my black dress. Excellent.
Now I'm in bed about to watch a movie and getting some well-earned sleep, feeling a little bit like a pig in a blanket, hihi.

I love snow too!
Snow snow snow! I love it. One of my most favorite kind of weather.
My street in daylight and at night. I love the color of the night when it snows like this. It's not dark at all, but soft and comforting - silent.
I took a picture of Copenhagens Townhall today. You can spot the giant christmastree on the side. Mind you, I'm not fond of christmas, so that's probably all you'll get from me. Unless I get irritated and start ranting about it. In that case - I apologize in advance.

I'm on a road to nowhere
Me and my cold went to Jutland yesterday. I'm still here, working = filming. The cold is feeling better, maybe because I drank vitamin induced lemonade? Yuck.
I started reading some sci-fi novels - my friend and guitarist in SPEkTR lent me the book. I love the cover. It has a very SPEkTR-ish vibe. Did I ever link to my bands Myspace? No. So there.

Summerdreams
With this cold + this gloomy and cold weather, I can't help but dream about summer and future plans.
One of my best friends and I have decided to take a roadtrip in the States in the summer of 2012 or '13. It's gonna be legen-wait for it...-dary!
So what better than to hear Best Coast - the perfect laid back noise-pop soundtrack. It makes me dream of barbecues on beaches with all that it includes.
Atju!

Stuck in bed
As I knew last night, I had a cold coming. Most of today I've been a pityfull excuse of a human being, runny nose and dry eyes and all, but I'm thankfully feeling better. Phew - since I'm going to Jutland tomorrow to film and work. But I've drunk my share of tea and tried to eat as much citrus-fruit as possible, and just been in bed, reading, relaxing. Not at all well, but well enough - I hope!
The picture is one of my favorite buildings in Copenhagen. Located on a very posh street, it just doesn't fit in with it's run down facade. More of that, please!

Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters! Dana-naana-naana...
My mom has just started working at her cousins shop. He has a furniture store with loads of great stuff. He couldn't sell the last of these little tealightholders, so he asked my mom to give it to me. I think it's so cute with the little pacman ghosts.
I feel a cold coming on. Not a good time - but is there ever a good time for colds?

One week of hyacinths
7 pictures, 7 days.
The pink one needs to be replaced soon. The blue and white ones are still not fully in bloom.
I love how they smell! And how they make my little den smell.
Love,
Ida
