Classic love

I love classical music. I used to play a lot of piano, applied for the conservatory and all, but was told, at the age of 21, that I was TOO old. That was a blow - but now I'm (mostly) happy about how life has turned out.
My one regret is that I will never-ever be able to play Rachmaninovs 3rd piano concerto, no matter how much I practice. It's magnificent - the masterpiece of russian romantic music. One of my favorite (living) pianist has just released a beautiful recording of it... you get a snippet in the video. Ladys and gentle gents, Leif Ove Andsnes playing the black-and-whites. Look at his hands! That's so effortlessly played. Wow.

Love,
Ida
